Hands Arcoss the Bridge 2005
On Labor Day, hundreds of Oregon and Washington residents will celebrate recovery from alcohol and drug addiction when they join hands to span the Interstate 5 Bridge connecting the states of Oregon and Washington. The fourth annual Hands Across the Bridge event, set for 10-noon on Monday, Sept. 5, with ceremonies on both the Portland and Vancouver sides of the Columbia, kicks off National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month. Last years event drew around 1470 participants whose lives had been touched by addiction and recovery. This years event will be followed by a Recovery Rocks Celebration, with food, entertainment, booths, games and more!
